Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Arcfin ("the app"), developed by Puranjay Savar Mattas ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Arcfin, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Summary: Arcfin is a client app you use to connect to a Jellyfin (and optionally Seerr/Streamystats) server that you own, run, or otherwise have permission to access. We don't host any content, we don't manage your server, and we're not responsible for what's on it. Use the app lawfully and only with servers and content you're authorized to access.

1. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Arcfin on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of the app and is incorporated into these Terms. Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls for the license grant itself; these Terms otherwise govern your relationship with us.

2. What Arcfin is (and isn't)

Arcfin is a native client for Jellyfin, an open-source media server. It also optionally connects to Seerr (content requests) and Streamystats (watch statistics) if you configure them.

Arcfin does not host, store, stream, or moderate any media, metadata, or other content. All content you access through the app comes from a server you point the app at.
We are not affiliated with the Jellyfin, Seerr, or Streamystats projects, and we don't operate, maintain, or control any server you connect the app to — including servers you run yourself.
You're solely responsible for the servers you connect to, the credentials you use, and the content you access or make accessible through them.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use Arcfin only:

With servers, accounts, and content you own or are otherwise authorized to access;
In compliance with all applicable laws, including copyright and data protection law in your jurisdiction;
Without attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security or license mechanism in the app, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

We don't monitor what servers you connect to or what content you access through them, and we have no ability to do so — but you remain responsible for your own compliance with the law.

4. Third-party services

Arcfin integrates with third-party services — including your own Jellyfin/Seerr/Streamystats servers, Apple's AirPlay and App Store services, Google Cast (Chromecast), and YouTube (for optional in-app trailer playback). Each is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, which you're responsible for reviewing. We're not a party to your relationship with any of them and aren't responsible for their availability, content, or conduct.

5. No warranty

Arcfin is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every server configuration.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, media, or content, arising from or related to your use of Arcfin — including content or data loss occurring on a server you connect to, which we neither host nor control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Termination

You may stop using Arcfin at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or discontinue the app (or any feature of it) at any time, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise (including consumer-protection law in your own jurisdiction, which these Terms don't override).
